Horse power

Day 22:
Black horse bit loafers from Topshop

Love these loafers and I've had them since I was about 27 (so not too long then.....). Today was definitely an 'easy' shove anything on day so I paired them with a plain back dress and dark circles under my eyes. Monday's call comfort I can hear it on Sunday calling, begging me not to wear heels so I today I listened but Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be heels, heels and heels and I heely mean it.

Day of rest

Day 21:
Slippers

Today's entry comes from my Mum's sofa and as I haven't really left the house today I'm in my slippers. It's a non-shoe day. We've had Walking dead marathon and we are nearly at the finish line. Only one more series to go and we are up to date. Who knew that watching zombies would be so thrilling.

I particularly like the slippers pared with my printed London socks. So very chic I think. Normal service will resume tomorrow, my poor feet need a day off from silly heels and worn out old flats.

A leopard never changes it spots

Day 20:
Animal print ankle boots from Dorothy Perkins.

So the wine last night removed the pain from my feet. However it transferred that pain to my head this morning. Funny that. However as my dear Mum says have 'a hair of the dog that bit you'
and as we all know your Mum is always right so here I am in Shoreditch having a large glass of the good stuff!

I love these boots and I'm wearing them with my new maxi dress. I enjoy a bit of print clashing. I just hope I don't fall over in these heels/long maxi dress, imagine how embarrassing that would be!

New shoes? No, new feet please.

Day 19:
Black and white brogues from River Island.

Today I worked in store to help out for the Black Friday craziness! (Hence the flat shoes) It was busy but not crazy busy. More like Grey Friday.

Anyway regardless of how busy/not busy it was my feet officially feel like they belong to someone else. I've run 6 half marathons and my feet have never hurt as badly as they do right now. I have a new found respect for anyone who stands on their feet all day. It's exhausting. I'd take my hat off to you but I'm not wearing one so I'll take my shoes off instead.

Will the pain ever do away? Yes it will after a rather large glass of wine.

Health & Safety boots

Day 18:
Gold trim black ankle boots from Boohoo

After yesterday's 'trip' to the pavement I decided to go a bit safer today and opt for a low heel boot. Those river island wedges need to come with a high vis jacket and a hard helmet. They need to be re-homed. I'm actually scared of them.

Wedgenesday

Day 17:
Black wedges from River Island

I officially now hate these wedges and the less said about them better. I fell over in them this morning whilst walking to the bus stop. It was a proper playground primary school fall complete with grazed hands and a cut knee. I even cried. Needless to say I will never wear these wedges again. The end.

Barely scratching the surface

Day 16:
Gold and black peep toe ankle boots from Kurt Geiger.

I can't believe that at day 16 I've barely scratched the service on the number of shoes living under my bed. These shoe boots are amongst my faves even if they do hurt slightly. No pain no game though.

That's all for today I'm afraid. My witty banter is on holiday. It doesn't really work in the cold and I don't blame it. Maybe I need to pay it more. You pay peanuts you get monkeys and I'm not really a fan of bananas.

Another one bites the dust.

Day 15:
Vintage cream heels

These were a wrong choice today. I didn't quite realise how cold it was until I stepped off the bus at Baker Street. Definitely should have saved these for warmer weather. Oh well you live and learn.

Each evening I have to plan my outfit for the next day around my shoes. It's really quite a challenge but I shall keep going until every single pair have walked the streets of Angel and beyond.

Here's to a better choice tomorrow. See you soon cream vintage shoes. I still love you even though I won't wear you for a while and as they say abcsense makes the heart grow fonder.

Booty call

Day 14:
Black Ugg boots

As the title suggests it's that time of the year to pull on the ugg boots. It's an actual booty call.

As you can see they've seen better days and I can only ever wear them with black socks because of the hole at the toe. I'm accessorising them with a top knot and a spot on ones chin. Happy Sunday.

Croc mocktails...glass of wine I think

Day 13:
Croc mock platform heels from Topshop

I bought these whilst I lived in Manchester, so a couple of years ago, and have only worn them once or twice before. The heel and platforms are quite big and they do look a little medical (club foot chic). I'm going to attempt these today accessoried with a glass of wine and a few of my favourite girls. Wish me luck.

Friday 'lady' flats

Day 12:
Topshop flats

I've had these for a while. I liked them because they had a rather regal looking lion on them. I've always thought that I should have been born into a family that has Roman numerals after the surname.  Knightley IV or Knightley III, I think it rather goes. Oh how one would relish in such regalness.

In stark reality it's all back to Ireland in my family, I wouldn't have it any other way. However there is still time for me to find a Roman numeral husband and become Laura Knightley-Something VI.

I'm a goal person so this is all very achievable. So with that in mind if anyone needs me I'll be in Chelsea or Kensington from this day forth. What what.

Vintage heels O'clock

Day 11:
Cream vintage heels. Place of purchase unknown. I can't remember if I got them in a charity shop or a vintage shop. Either way they aren't brand new and someone else has definitely warn them before me. That's a bit gross when it's written down in black and white.

Anyway I'm wearing them with my trusty Joni high waisted Topshop jeans, a black top and lace trimmed black kimono from Missguided. Today's outfit is sponsored by the colour black and if I hadn't already worn all of my black vintage shoes I'd be in them too.

I'm starting to worry I won't have enough witty words to write (try saying that after a few house whites) each day. I hope I don't start to bore you all once it gets into the really high numbers. Imagine what I'll be writing when it's day 52 or day 111? Just imagine....

Wedgenesday

Day 10:
Purple wedges from Michael Kors.

I bought these at sample sale years ago so didn't pay full wack for them. I find them to be a good staple but they so slightly hurt my feet so they don't come out too often.

I'm wearing them with tired eyes, a hungry stomach and sensitive teeth. The perils of getting the perfect smile. I'm about 5 months into my invislign brace treatment and its day 2 of the new set of braces (I have a new set every 10 days) and my teeth feel like they once belonged to a dinasour. I can't wait until I can take them out later for dinner. The only time I can eat when they aren't wrapped around my nashers and taking them out its very antisocial and looks like I'm actually taking out a set of dentures. The saying I have adopted is 'I'm just taking my teeth out/in'. It's a strong look particularly as I'm single! I don't help myself really.

Anyway I have no idea how my teeth have a connection to my Michael Kors wedges as I'm pretty sure he would be horrified to know that I accessorised his wedges with a brace. Well 'brace' yourself Mike, it's happening.

Thursday tomorrow so the weekend is on the horizon, just got to wade though 2 days and we've reached the prize, a large glass of house white wine.

Flat day

Day 9:
Black ballet pumps from Primark RIP

No, these are not the same ones from day 7 (feeling flat) they are in the same family though. However after I put the black ballet pumps on I realised they were actually falling apart. They have now been filed in the bin. So long Primark flats.

I also don't like flat days they make my feet look weird and I never ever feel myself. When I'm in my heels and a vintage dress my imaginary life is that of a very tall and very skinny supermodel. In reality I'm a 5ft 2 assistant buyer, but as Gabrielle once sang, dreams can come true.

Tomorrow the heels are back otherwise how else will I become a supermodel.

N.B. I only want to be a supermodel from the 90's coz then it's a bit vintage.

Monday, 16 November 2015

Heely tired.

Day 8:
Grey heels from H&M.

Had these years, note the scuffs on the contrast point! I don't care though coz it's Monday. I don't care for Monday's. I'm wearing these heels with dark circles and dry skin. My face looks like it belongs to someone else, whoever has mine let me know. Hopefully I'll find it by tomorrow morning.

Feeling flat

Day 7:
Metallic blue ballet pumps from Primark.

I'm in flats today for the following reasons:
1. It's Sunday.
2. I'm tired.
3. It's Sunday and Sunday doesn't like heels. It told me so last week.
4. I'm spending all day on the sofa.

I'm wearing these flats without make up and I haven't brushed my hair yet. I'm a health and safety disaster. Halloween has been and gone but it looks like I didn't get the memo. Next year this my costume.

Flats all folks

Day 6:
Red and black ballet pumps from TKMAXX.

I bought these ages ago when I was BAA at TKMAXX. These ballet pumps are so comfortable and I believe them to be very chic. Worn today with black skinny jeans, white shirt, black bomber jacket and Chanel bag (not real, I don't earn enough for it to be real) soz Karl and Coco.

Heels to a great weekend.

Day 5:
Vintage gold trim black heels
These are my fave vintage heels and I'm totally gutted I can't wear them again for a while but i totally panicked this morning and went 'black vintage heels default'. I'm wearing them with a glass of processo.

Thursday, 12 November 2015

Wedgenesday is the new Thursday.

Day 4:
Floral wedges from office.

I've had these wedges since I was about 18 so not that long really as I'm only 22 (plus VAT, plus P&P, plus custom charges, plus insurance, plus frieght). I'm wearing them with a midi vintage leather black skirt and a green miss s top. I'm not sure that's really relevant but I'm trying to fill up the space with words. I really like this wedges so I'm a bit gutted I can't wair them again for a while!

Yesterday I wanted to be a cleaner today I wanted to be a housewife who sells vintage online and who runs everyday. Wonder who I'll want to be tomorrow? I do know that when I grow up I want to be Iris Aprel (if you don't know who that is then google her immediately)

Tomorrow is Friday 13th so it'll be a heel day again because it's Friday and just because. Might get a tattoo at lunch might not. It's a tradition in the tattoo  world I'm told. I won't do it coz I'm all mouth and no trousers (I prefer skirts).

Broken Sole

Day 3:
Topshop gold studded heels. I've had these shoes for about 8 years and I love them. I've had them re-heeled and re-souled a number of times and as you can see from the below pics they need to go to shoe hospital again. They have as the title says, broken soles. I myself feel a bit like a broken 'sole' myself after a very busy and stressful day. I've always wanted to work in buying since I was 11 but at approximately 3pm this afternoon I wanted to be a cleaner. Let me tell you buying is not big and it's not clever. Approach with caution.

Tomorrow will be a heel day again, they make me feel more me.

Couldn't give a clobbers

Day 2:

Tan fringe loafers from Primark, they're ok but not my favourite. Those who know me well know I don't really do flats but I'm trying to wear all my non favourite flats now so I can keep my 'fun' shoes for later on. Ironically though my feet hurt just as much as they would if I wore heels, so the moral of the story is wear heels. Tomorrow heels back on.

Shoesday Girl

So after counting how many shoes I own (113). OK that was a lie, it's actually 117. I 'found' a pair over the weekend and bought 2 pairs of flats from Topshop and some velvet boots from Boohoo. Oooops. So after telling the girls at work the number of shoes I have they challenged me to wear every single pair over the next 113 days (now 117 days). I'm not allowed to repeat shoes and I have to take a picture each day to show I am in fact wearing a different pair each day. So here goes...

Day 1:

Black vintage shoes that lets be honest have seen better days (note the white marks). Looking at this picture I think you could mistake it for The Queens shoes although I'm sure she wouldn't ever go on a second date in scuffed shoes...and that right there is why she's royalty and I'm not!
