Heels to a great weekend.

Day 5:
Vintage gold trim black heels
These are my fave vintage heels and I'm totally gutted I can't wear them again for a while but i totally panicked this morning and went 'black vintage heels default'. I'm wearing them with a glass of processo.

Wedgenesday is the new Thursday.

Day 4:
Floral wedges from office.

I've had these wedges since I was about 18 so not that long really as I'm only 22 (plus VAT, plus P&P, plus custom charges, plus insurance, plus frieght). I'm wearing them with a midi vintage leather black skirt and a green miss s top. I'm not sure that's really relevant but I'm trying to fill up the space with words. I really like this wedges so I'm a bit gutted I can't wair them again for a while!

Yesterday I wanted to be a cleaner today I wanted to be a housewife who sells vintage online and who runs everyday. Wonder who I'll want to be tomorrow? I do know that when I grow up I want to be Iris Aprel (if you don't know who that is then google her immediately)

Tomorrow is Friday 13th so it'll be a heel day again because it's Friday and just because. Might get a tattoo at lunch might not. It's a tradition in the tattoo  world I'm told. I won't do it coz I'm all mouth and no trousers (I prefer skirts).

Broken Sole

Day 3:
Topshop gold studded heels. I've had these shoes for about 8 years and I love them. I've had them re-heeled and re-souled a number of times and as you can see from the below pics they need to go to shoe hospital again. They have as the title says, broken soles. I myself feel a bit like a broken 'sole' myself after a very busy and stressful day. I've always wanted to work in buying since I was 11 but at approximately 3pm this afternoon I wanted to be a cleaner. Let me tell you buying is not big and it's not clever. Approach with caution.

Tomorrow will be a heel day again, they make me feel more me.

Couldn't give a clobbers

Day 2:

Tan fringe loafers from Primark, they're ok but not my favourite. Those who know me well know I don't really do flats but I'm trying to wear all my non favourite flats now so I can keep my 'fun' shoes for later on. Ironically though my feet hurt just as much as they would if I wore heels, so the moral of the story is wear heels. Tomorrow heels back on.

Shoesday Girl

So after counting how many shoes I own (113). OK that was a lie, it's actually 117. I 'found' a pair over the weekend and bought 2 pairs of flats from Topshop and some velvet boots from Boohoo. Oooops. So after telling the girls at work the number of shoes I have they challenged me to wear every single pair over the next 113 days (now 117 days). I'm not allowed to repeat shoes and I have to take a picture each day to show I am in fact wearing a different pair each day. So here goes...

Day 1:

Black vintage shoes that lets be honest have seen better days (note the white marks). Looking at this picture I think you could mistake it for The Queens shoes although I'm sure she wouldn't ever go on a second date in scuffed shoes...and that right there is why she's royalty and I'm not!

Only boring people are bored

So it's my last week at my current job before I move to pastures new and I feel like this might be the longest week of my 32 year old life. I have read and re-read every single on-line retailers blog and searched the words 'yellow vintage dress' numerical times. I had to resort to writing this blog to give me something to do (just don't let anyone at work know).

I have the luxury of having 2 weeks off before I start my new job so I'm going to have that spring clean I've been telling myself to have.  However it'll be a 'transitional' clean instead seeing as though it's August and now the end of summer. This is where I hope to discover items I never knew I had, it'll be like going shopping in my own wardrobe without having to actually open my purse (see previous post re bank accounts for my full financial situ). I'm mostly looking forward to counting the number of shoes I own. I'm going to make a bet with myself and hazard a guess at 102 pairs. If i'm way over then I'm allowed to buy a new pair and if i'm way under then I'll think about chucking some away. Note the word 'think'.

What I will definitely do though is aim to wear every single pair of shoes I own over the next how ever many days and show them on here so you know I'm actually doing it. Same with the clothes, expect that I don't think there is enough time/days/years left for me to do that.

The word for this week is waiting. Waiting for Friday (my last day), waiting for a boy to text me (that'll be the title of my autobiography) and waiting for 5.30pm AKA wine o'clock avec Gemma B.

Hurry hurry time.

Interest rates

Hello. In the words of Take That...'I want you back for good'. I've been thinking of late how much I used to enjoy writing this blog and then all of a sudden it fell of a cliff in a soap opera kind of way, probably during a Christmas special. So I thought what the hell lets re-visit and write about stuff that happens. So here goes...

Well now I'm 32 and guess what? I'll still single. I think you would have seen on the news last week that I am indeed the most single person in the world. I shouldn't be proud of that but I kind of am although I'm sure my Mum isn't, she is literally desperate to see me married off not just to see have the wedding day etc but because over night she would become a millionaire. I have two bank accounts in my life and the one I use the most is the Bank of Mum. My account is always full and I never get charged interest, mostly because I'm not interested and I never seem to go into my overdraft. All in all I'm really happy with the level of service I receive.

In an ideal world I would have this bank account and another at the Bank of Husband, however these accounts are rare and you are often on a long waiting list (I've been on 32 years with ZERO sign of moving to the top anytime soon). Some seem to sign up/show interest and then get straight to the top of the list and have opened an account before you can say sort code. I mean how and why and when? I go from bank to bank trying to sign up but with no avail. I've even tried building societies but with no luck (they seem to be a bit too exclusive for me). I even tried foreign banks but the change of currency somewhat confuses the situation. Off shore accounts are the same, currency differences and I always feel these accounts are a bit dodgy.

The main obstacle I face always comes down to interest rates, they are either too high for me to sign up or the too low that the bank just doesn't meet my needs. What usually happens is that I go into the bank with the amount of money I want to put into a new account but the bank manager tells me it's not enough so I normally get the line 'I'm just not looking for any new customers right now' so with that I'm back out on the street again looking through my bank apps to find another one who will take my money. So as the wheel keeps turning I'm told by all who no me/meet me the following...'you'll find the right bank account when you least expect it' and 'the right one is just around the corner'.Well I've been round every single corner you can imagine and not found as much a post office account. So I guess I'll just have to remain patient and wait until I get to the top of the waiting list. Whatever will I do in my spare time....
